Natural gardens for a better future.

Now is the time to rethink your yard. Whether it's learning about monarchs and milkweed, volunteering to remove invasive buckthorn shrubs, or being involved in a community rain garden, there's no doubt you've noticed an increased community effort to highlight the benefits of a healthier natural world in our everyday lives. We tend to focus on stories like the plight of the rusty-patched bumblebee, but the truth is, we are just beginning to understand and appreciate the wonderful complexities of the natural world we are a part of. The land that we call home, here in the Twin Cities of Minnesota (BdΓ³te), is located within the heart of an incredibly diverse and important natural confluence of rivers and biomes, and it is not gone - it is often just a mowed over afterthought in our backyards. We have an incredible opportunity to bring this nature back in a way that will beautify our neighborhoods, help save our pollinators, and change the way we think about the world in our own yard.

Your yard. Our planet.
